Important information regarding Bolton EMS
As of December 2011 the Bolton Emergency Squad is no longer affiliated with the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department. After a very long and successful working relationship with the Fire District we have become our own entity. Working with the Fire District, Fire Company, NYS DOH and the town of Bolton we are now separated from the Fire District.
Officially know as "Bolton Emergency Medical Services Inc." we are no longer restricted by some of the Fire District rules regarding town residency and membership requirements. In maintaining our good working relationship we are still housed at the Bolton Fire House, 5003 Lake Shore Drive, and still have the use of their offices and facilities. We will continue to train with the Fire Department on various type of medical emergencies and accidents where working together is crucial for optimal patient care. To help us keep our operating cost down as we start out the Fire Department has generously donated some turnout gear to our members to use on calls.
We are currently actively recruiting new members. If you live or work in Bolton full or part time or just want to volunteer your time with out having to live in the town and would like to be a member you can pick up an application at the Fire House or click on the email link below. Until we finish our own application the Fire Companies application will suffice.
While it seems that many changes have taken place they are all paperwork and behind the scene changes. We will continue to deliver the same high quality care.
